Tuesday
Yoga at the New Haven Pride Center
Classes take place weekly from 6:30pm to 8pm. Beginners and experts are welcome; just bring your own yoga mat, or be prepared to borrow one from the instructor. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes; if you're coming straight from work, be sure to keep those comfortable clothes in your car. Mexican blankets will be provided; no need to bring a towel. New students always welcome!
Instructor Luis Avilez is a certified Yoga Alliance Teacher who has been practicing yoga for over a decade. The class is donation-based; all proceeds will benefit the Pride Center.
Thursday (3rd Thurs. each month)
Poem Haven
The New Haven Pride Center holds a poetry writing group for the LGBTQ community (18 & older, please) on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 5:30pm. Meeting locations vary, so please contact us for details. The group will typically head to the Institute Library for an Open Mic night at 7pm, after the meeting. Bring something you have written to share, or just come anyway! The group is free but donations are always needed at the Center. Contact nhglcc@gmail.com with any questions.
Saturday

If you are a transgender soul, or a family member, and need to "fill in the blanks" and connect with your T-community, please contact us and come in and meet like souls. Feel free to bring a light snack and your favorite non-alcoholic beverage. After the meeting (at 10pm) the group heads out to 168 York Street; all attendees are invited to join.
The group meets on the first Saturday of each month, from 7-10pm at the NHPC (14 Gilbert Street, West Haven) unless otherwise specified for special events or other activities. Contact group facilitator Sylvia (Lacy) Whitelace at whitelaceblue@yahoo.com for more information.
