Poem Haven
The New Haven Pride Center holds a poetry writing group for the LGBTQ community (18 & older, please) on the first Thursday of each month from 7pm - 9pm. Bring something you have written to share, or just come anyway! We always have poetry books from our library, from which anyone can select some poetry to read. The group is free but donations are always needed at the Center. Contact nhglcc@gmail.com with any questions.

Fun Fridays at the Center: Poker Night

Saturday
NHPC Youth
NHPC Youth is a group for LGBTQ youth ages 15-20. We seek to provide LGBTQ youth a safe and substance-free space where they can be themselves, express their concerns, and discuss issues of importance that impact their daily lives. Our goal is to help every self-identifying LGBTQ youth find his or her voice. We offer a judgment-free zone and a comfortable space to focus on various issues like family, relationships, friends, school, work; and to share concerns and achievements. We also provide the opportunity for one-on-one discussion with mentoring staff members who can help youths work through difficult times, by listening and through sharing their own experiences.
The group meets on the second and fourth Saturday of every month, from 1-3pm, at the NHPC (14 Gilbert Street, West Haven) unless otherwise specified for special events or other activities. Visit our Facebook page for more information, or contact Tom or John (co-facilitators) at nhglcc@gmail.com.
