Dorothy Awards Silent Auction offers an array of selections!

This pitcher and goblet set, donated by The Sleeping Schwa, is among the items available at this year's Silent Auction.

Each year, one of the main fundraising components of our event is our Silent Auction, which every features an array of intriguing options, donated by a generous group of individuals and businesses within the community. As of this writing, we have accumulated dozens of items with a total value of more than $8000, and there's something for everyone!  Here's some highlights of what you will see on display this year:

Entertainment

  • Several sets of tickets to the Connecticut Gay Men’s Chorus
  • Westport Country Playhouse – Tickets to a five-play LGBT-themed series of plays – Thurs. Preview performances
  • Long Wharf – Two tickets to use any time in the next year
  • Goodspeed – Two tickets to Carnival
  • Yale Rep – Two tickets

Dorothy Awards attendees will have the opportunity to bid on this beautiful Waterford crystal case donated by Kathryn & Dennis.

Fine Arts

  • Beautiful Depression Glass Set – Jeanette Glass “Iris and Herringbone” pitcher with eight goblets from “The Sleeping Schwa”
  • Waterford 10” Crystal Vase – from Kathryn Thomas and Dennis Titley
  • Framed prints and posters from various friends of the Center
  • Fine arts pottery by local potter Eric Gregory - each piece hand-built from a single solid form of clay, resulting in a unique vessel. The three pieces for the silent auction are from his 2005 series of glazed vessels.
  • Framed photos by Paul Kuehn and Gilles Thibault
  • Yale Art Gallery family/dual membership and exhibition catalog

Food and Wine - Gift Certificates for

Buying an item from the Silent Auction is a great way to support the Center and help the Dorothy Awards become an even bigger success.  We hope those of you attending will keep the auction in mind when you join in the fun!
