The New Haven Pride Center is very excited to announce Yoga at the Pride Center, beginning Tuesday, October 11.
Luis Avilez is a certified Yoga Alliance Teacher who received his 200 hour Hatha 1 certification from Integral Yoga InstituteNYC January 2011. He has been practicing yoga for more than a decade and instructs people of all ages and abilities through private lessons in their homes or in his personal studio.
Classes will be held every Tuesday at 6:30pm, beginning October 11. The class is 90 minutes long and includes warm ups, gentle stretching and cool down or meditation. You will need a yoga mat (one will be provided for loan or sale $10 if you do not have one), a standard size towel or Mexican blanket for support. It is recommended you do not eat at least two hours before a yoga class. This class is donation based, everyone is encouraged to contribute what they can with all proceeds benefiting the NHGLCC.
