Happy New Year!
With the new year comes a new, raging debate: how to "pronounce" the name of the year? Do we say "two-thousand ten", or "two-thousand and ten", or "twenty-ten", or my personal favorite, "two-K-ten"? However you pronounce it, we hope it's a good one.
It's a busy winter for the NHPC. Our annual Dorothy Awards are quickly approaching, with plenty of opportunities for you to get involved. You can volunteer, you can attend, you can donate a silent auction item, you can advertise in our program. We welcome any and all support. We're thrilled to be honoring prominent LGBT citizens and organizations at the ceremony, our biggest fundraiser. Stay tuned to our site to read more about the honorees soon.
We're also basking in the glow of receiving a grant from Love Makes a Family, planning a smoking cessation program directed at LGBT smokers with our partners at Aids Project New Haven, and retooling our website a bit (adding a "Creative Corner", and welcoming new monthly columns from Joe Amico and Jane Ferrall of PFlag).
We appreciate all your support. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to share any thoughts or questions.
