In-Person & Virtual Events
Scroll down to checkout the entire PRIDE New Haven 2021 schedule of events.

PRIDE New Haven is a visible infusion of LGBTQ+ celebratory programming that highlights the culture, art, and history of New Haven and Connecticut’s LGBTQ+ community. Through a high-visibility series of events PRIDE New Haven turns downtown New Haven and surrounding towns into a community-wide safe spaces for New Haven and Connecticut’s vastly diverse LGBTQ+ community.

This year PRIDE New Haven will be avaliable to experience both virtually AND in-person! This year, you will be able to enjoy the Festivities of PRIDE New Haven by either attending all of the fun-filled events in person at the various venues around New Haven and the surrounding area OR watch it live on PRIDE TV on the Center’s website!

Pride celebrations in Connecticut go back to the 1980s, but the relevance these types of gatherings is more important than ever in the face of national policy trends that attack and divide the community while simultaneously creating adversarial relationships between different minority groups. PRIDE New Haven, which celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2018, is the only pride celebration in Connecticut that creates a multi-day series of events that include arts, culture, and humanities programming in tandem with celebratory events to bring the community together in shared experiences.

The 23rd PRIDE New Haven will kick-off with our third Day of Action and will include a calendar of over 30 events including PRIDEfest at the North Haven Fair Grounds on Saturday, September 18th!

Public Health Measures

The New Haven Pride Center and PRIDE New Haven takes public health, particularly the effects of COVID-19, very seriously. PRIDE New Haven will be following all CDC guidelines as well as all local mask mandates in order to keep everyone safe and abide by public health code. Please remember that the best way to protect yourself and the community at large is to get vaccinated. Make an appointment here

  • If you have any COVID-19 symptoms (check the list of symptoms here), please do not attend any in-person events. Instead join us virtually on Twitch TV
  • We ask that unvaccinated attendees to either join us virtually on Twitch TV or wear a mask while attending in-person events.
  • We encourage all attendees to bring masks and wear them as appropriate. Please note that in the City of New Haven all indoor events require masks.
  • While in line at outdoor events for food trucks, beverage areas, or bathrooms masks are strongly encouraged.
  • We encourage all attendees to maintain appropriate social distancing at all events and to be conscious of everyone’s personal space.

Help Us Meet the Challenge

This summer we are honored to have received a major grant of $20,000 to underwrite the artist and speaker fees, production costs, and other programming expenses for PRIDE New Haven. This funding comes at a pivotal time. As Connecticut’s only LGBTQ+ arts, culture, and humanities organization, this investment will allow us to continue the incredible and dynamic work we do for the LGBTQ+ community. Now, we need you to join us. We need your donations to match this $20,000 investment, to ensure the quantity and integrity of the high-impact programming that you have come to expect from us can continue.

The past 18 months have been a challenge for all of us, and the Center has had its fair share. Through it all, we have never stopped, never shuttered our doors, never missed an opportunity to uplift the voices of the most marginalized within our community. Join us today by also investing in this life-saving work, and your impact will be doubled thanks to the generous support of this grant.
