Puerto Rican & Queer

June 14, 2022
12:00p (EST)

Virtual event
Live on facebook & YouTube

Join us for the fourth installment of our Exploring the Queer Caribbean Experience series with a panel focusing on the unique experiences of queer Puerto Ricans. Queer Puerto Ricans are often lumped into the larger Latino/a/e community. The reality, however, is that Queer Puerto Ricans have a very different experience of being LGBTQ+ than their Latino/a/e peers. This conversation will feature perspectives from LGBTQ+ Puerto Ricans from across the U.S. and will be moderated by artist/activist and Center Deputy Director Juancarlos Soto.
