Volunteers are the heartbeat of the Center’s work.
Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities
Docent Volunteers : Welcome the Community to the Center
During the Center’s drop in hours, join us to welcome the community into our space. Docent volunteers will with work with Center staff to showcase the drop in services and programming, including giving introductions to the Center’s Great Room Gallery exhibitions. Other opportunities to support during your volunteer times include sorting food and clothing donations and help keep the Center organized.
Community Ambassadors : Share the Message of the Center
Help us highlight the work and resources of the New Haven Pride Center at community events and pop-up Festivals as an ambassador at events throughout the year. Volunteers will work with staff members to manage our booths and help us spread the word about the Center to the larger community. Help pass out materials, answer questions and promote why the Center is a vital resource to our community.
PRIDE New Haven : Help Create one of the Largest LGBTQ+ Events
PRIDE New Haven’s success is driven by the support of volunteers who help with every aspect of the week’s events – from planning to production, PRIDE New Haven would not be possible without the support of our incredible volunteer corps. Each year the Center aims to recruit 50-60 volunteers to help with the various events of pride, particular the Saturday Festival at the North Haven Fair Grounds!
