About the Event
Description: Our Stories: Book Club is a relaxed, welcoming book club hosted at the New Haven Pride Center as part of the Our Stories series.
Each month we pick an accessible, engaging read by or about LGBTQ+ people—from funny and heartfelt novels to graphic memoirs and modern classics. These are stories you'll actually want to finish, chosen to reflect the many different ways of being queer.
Books give us a way into conversations that can be hard to start on our own– conversations about identity, family, love, growing up and growing older. Reading someone else’s story can help us understand ourselves.
Whether you finish the book in a weekend or only get halfway through, come for the conversation and stay for the community.
