
In-Person Donations
Do you live locally and want to help give back to your community? We're almost always accepting donations for our food and hygiene pantry, as well as our gender affirming clothing closet! Our operational hours are Monday - Friday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM; feel welcome to reach out to mike@newhavenpridecenter.org to coordinate an alternate drop-off time if our usual hours don't work with your schedule.
Non-perishables:
Canned goods such as non-condensed soups, Chef Boyardee, tuna, chicken, beans, lentils; pasta, rice, mac & cheese, dry grains, ramen noodles, crackers, bagged breads; peanut butter, protein bars, nutrition shakes, apple sauce, trail mix, jerky; oatmeal, cereals and shelf-stable milks (dairy-based and alternatives); bottled water, juice packs, electrolyte beverages or powder; jarred or pouched baby food, age appropriate snacks, and assorted formulas.
Paper goods and alt. supplies:
Toilet paper, paper towels, facial tissues; make-up wipes; baby wipes; trash bags for kitchen and bathroom; travel-sized Lysol or Clorox wipes; Wet Ones or like-sanitizing wipes for hands; small jugs of laundry detergent or detergent pods.
Clothing:
Polo or button-down shirts, blouses, tees and long sleeved shirts, hoodies or sweaters, flannels; skirts - short or long, shorts, slacks or like-dress pants, sweatpants, jeans, pajamas, sealed packs of socks and underwear.
For the fridge:
Produce such as carrots, celery, tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, squash, apples, berries, melon; ready-to-eats snacks and meals like Lunchables, pre-packaged salad, etc.; frozen one-person meals.

Please check with our service staff before donating to ensure we have room in the fridge to accept these items!
Hygiene:
Soap in the form of bars, body wash, hand soap, face wash, etc.; shampoo and conditioner; pads and tampons in various absorbency; diapers for infants of varying sizes - sizes 4, 5, 6 have been requested; dental care products like toothpaste, floss, mouthwash - single / individual "travel size" are best; hair brushes and combs; hand sanitizer; deodorant; razors and shaving cream; hair ties; nail clippers; bandages.
Cold weather gear:
Vests, windbreakers, rain coats, reusable ponchos, and puffer jackets; gloves (or mittens) and liners; wool socks (moisture-wicking preferred); winter hats such as beanies; earmuffs; thermals; basic undershirts for layering; blankets; fleece or fleece-lined sweatshirts; snow boots; packs of hand and foot warmers.
Drop-off can occur during our operational hours:
Monday - Friday: 10am - 5pm
Saturday / Sunday: CLOSED

Note: These are the full hours when the New Haven Pride Center is open and staff are working on tasks like planning, administration, case management, or taking scheduled appointments. The office is “open,” but community members may not necessarily have access without an appointment.

Our drop-in hours provide specific times when community members can walk in without an appointment to access services, ask questions, or receive immediate support.
