The New Haven Pride Center is committed to justice for ALL members of the LGBTQ+ community.

In 2020, the Center launched a new type of program called Days of Action that emerged from our panels & conversations series. Days of Action are mini-conferences that challenge us to address the issues that divide our community and our movement.

Each Day of Action consists of workshops, conversations, and artistic experiences focused on themes such as gender equity, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ identities. These mini-conferences aim to educate, mobilize, and challenge participants to engage with one another on difficult issues and combat injustice within the larger LGBTQ+ community. In doing so, we empower our present and future thought leaders to tackle the challenges facing our community and build a more equitable and inclusive LGBTQ+ rights movement.

Queer Week of Action

June 22 – 28

The 2020 Week of Action was the event that launched our Days of Action programming. In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic it became evident that traditional pride events would be cancelled, in response the Center created the week of action to remind our community of the work that still needed to be done in our community at large!
