Development Coordinator
The Development Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of the New Haven Pride Center’s fundraising and resource development strategy. They play a vital role in sustaining and growing the Center’s financial health through relationship-building, storytelling, special events, and strategic communication that aligns with our mission of supporting and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community across Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities

Support all aspects of fundraising, including grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and donor engagement.

Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals; draft proposals, reports, and ensure compliance.

Cultivate and manage corporate sponsorships and partnerships, including outreach, stewardship, special events, and donor recognition.

Assist with individual donor campaigns, gift tracking, acknowledgments, and cultivation events.

Maintain accurate donor and funder records, fundraising dashboards, and reporting systems.

Collaborate with program, operations, and leadership teams to align fundraising with organizational priorities.

Coordinate funder meetings, site visits, and storytelling efforts that highlight impact and uplift LGBTQ+ voices.

Skills & Qualifications
-
Strong writing and communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, equity-centered narratives.

2-4 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development; LGBTQ+ or social justice context is preferred.

Experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship development, or donor relations.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with nonprofit budgeting, compliance, and CRM systems.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style.

Commitment to the mission and values of the New Haven Pride Center, including racial justice, gender equity, and LGBTQ+ liberation.

Job type: Full-time, 80% in-office.
Pay: $50,000/year

Youth Services Coordinator
The Youth Services Coordinator leads the New Haven Pride Center’s Youth Support Services, creating and guiding holistic programs that support young people and the community members who engage with them. This role also connects youth to support services, peer support, advocacy, and additional services both within the Center and through trusted external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Provide community programming including facilitation of social, support, and mental health related groups and activities on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis

Provide outreach and support to youth and other community members, and connect with other services - internal or external - as necessary.

Provide a welcoming and open environment for youth and other community members to discuss – 1:1 or in a group setting - issues including but not limited to programming, mental health, legal assistance, and significant life events.

Utilize mental health skills such as safety planning, motivational interviewing, and wellbeing check-ins as necessary.

Continued facilitation of existing support groups and spaces, as well as creation of new events and groups.

Monitor youth drop-in hours weekly and provide support to youth attending.

Make referrals of youth and mentees into recovery support services and/or case management when necessary.

Assist other staff members in daily administration of center programs including community closet, food pantry, and set up/tear down or facilitation of various events as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience working with youth or young adults in community, social services, or mental-health–focused settings.
-
Training or coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, youth development, or related fields (or equivalent experience) a plus.

Knowledge of community resources, mental-health support practices, and local service networks.

Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds using culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming practices.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
-
Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold confidentiality, and respond appropriately in crisis situations.
